I don’t like to admit this, but sometimes I can be a little… lazy. Recently I was feeling ambitious and decided I wanted to make some coconut milk kefir at home. I decided on some grains, looked up how to make coconut milk kefir and then I was like awwwwww hell naw.
As a hater of winter, I’ve been pretty lucky this year. It seems that winter pretty much only started this week here in Toronro, so I can’t really complain (although I most certainly do).
Stick it to winter with these warm smoothies to sip on while you snuggle up inside!
Happy summer solstice! I’ve waited all year and it’s finally here, SUMMER! It’s the most wonderful time of the year.
This is my official summer smoothie. It’s like having that one song that’s your anthem for your summer, in beverage form.
So not to confuse you or anything, but this recipe doesn’t have nutella, bailey’s OR milk in it. Huh?
Instead, it has chocolate hazelnut butter + banana ice cream + coconut irish cream. A bit of a long title, dontcha think?
I know I said my thing is easy recipes. This is a three-parter, but each individual step is easy peasy AND the result is bananas, literally!
I’m not much of a coffee drinker. I’m a sensitive sally when it comes to caffeine, a few sips of coffee and I’m shakin’ like a leaf. One day I sceptically tried butter coffee (… butter? in ma coffee?) and suddenly I didn’t get the jitters and didn’t poop my pants (or “evacuate my bowels”, in nutritionist speak). I felt energized from the caffeine but without the crash. Talk about a game changer!
I feel a little bit naughty calling this a smoothie. When I think of smoothies, I think of a nutritious meal substitute that is packed with veggies and greens. Truthfully, this is more like a milkshake. It’s THAT good. Would I have it or breakfast? Not so much. Would I have it when I’m needing a sweet treat to cool me down on a hot summer night? Abso-f*cking-lutely. Pardon my french.
You like chai. You like lattes. But ghee? Let me explain…
